Manual published in terms of Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (Act No. 2 of 2000) (“the Act”). The Act gives effect to Section 32 of the Constitution — the right of access to information held by the State and by another person where required to exercise or protect any right.
Reference to any information beyond that required by Section 51 of the Act does not create any right or entitlement to receive such information other than in terms of the Act.
Oxygn ISP (Pty) Ltd provides internet services and access to customers in both the corporate and home markets.
Oxygn supports the constitutional right of access to information and is committed to providing access to its records in accordance with the Act, the confidentiality owed to third parties, and the principles of South African law.
A copy of this Manual is available on request from the Information Officer by email, and from the website oxygn.co.za. It may also be obtained from the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) and the Information Regulator. This Manual is updated from time to time as required.
Requests for access to records held by Oxygn ISP (Pty) Ltd must be made on the prescribed request form, available on our website, from the SAHRC website (sahrc.org.za), the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za), or the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (justice.gov.za, under “regulations”).
Requests need not be accompanied by payment, but will only be processed once the prescribed fees are paid.
The standard request form is available from Oxygn and the regulators. Not using the prescribed form, or not providing sufficient information, may cause a request to be refused or delayed. All requests are evaluated in accordance with the Act.
